A BREAK AT LA MOTTE

A visit to La Motte is a chance to treat yourself to the luxury of slowing down.

A few days amidst countryside and woodland, living at the pace of the horses and the seasons. Walking, swimming, horse-riding, having lunch by the lake, exploring Burgundy or simply enjoying the silence.

A place to breathe, eat well, take your time and rediscover the pleasure of life’s simple joys.

The estate is currently being restored and will open its doors to guests in the coming years. The story has only just begun.

LA MOTTE STUD FARM

At the heart of Domaine La Motte, our stud farm is entirely dedicated to the Purebred Spanish Horse.

Our breeding programme is based on carefully selected bloodlines, with particular attention paid to conformation, movement and temperament.

Combining tradition with modernity, our aim is to breed harmonious, expressive and well-balanced horses, whilst preserving the elegance, nobility and presence that make the Spanish horse so unique.

Atelier La Motte

Set in the heart of a region with a long tradition of pottery-making, we prioritise local clays and materials. Hand-thrown, our ceramics combine the beauty of the raw clay – often left exposed – with our own semi-matt glazes.

Our ceramics also echo the history of La Motte: in the past, local potters would come to the estate to collect residues left over from metalworking to incorporate into their glazes. This link to the past gives our workshop even greater significance today.
